All these moody wall colors are giving me the feels! There's something about this dark walls + velvet furniture that gives the room a sense of decadence, without being too overwhelming. I've also always had this dream to have a single dark accent wall that was covered with framed black and white photographs and paintings. These photos are spurring on that urge to impulsively paint one of my walls black, ASAP.
BOTANICAL BEAUTS
Tom and I love to cook but buying herbs in this city is just absurdly pricey. That’s why we’ve been trying our hand at growing our own basil, rosemary, thyme and ginger… let’s just say, some are going better than others. What I like the most about it is how much the green adds life and brightness to our home. Since then, I haven’t been able to stop filling the apartment with any sort of botany I can get my hands on.
LUSH
Time for a totally different kind of post— I hope you’ll indulge me! Lately, I’ve found myself to be very attracted to these deep and lush colors and fabrics that seem to add so much depth and quirk to the room. I never thought I’d be into velvet but when it’s styled like this, who could resist?
