There’s a “Before and After” post by Amber Interiors that I absolutely love and always feel inspired by. In this particular home, she uses a giant round mirror by the doorway and I feel like I’ve been seeing round mirrors everywhere since! I love that this tiny detail can really make the space look more unique, no matter your personal style.
Dream Tub
I've been obsessing over the perfect tub lately. I recently went to a friend's house, where they remodeled the bathroom and had one of these freestanding tubs! I was so jealous. In all the hotels and airbnbs I've stayed at, I still haven't encountered one. But my question is... is it impractical to have one? It requires a lot more maintaining and cleaning, and would need a separate shower. So maybe it's not wise to have one in my future home, but I definitely want to try bathing in one 1 day. Preferably one that has an amazing view.

Light Up the Loom
Persian and Turkish rugs have been making a huge comeback as of late. I love the way that these ornate and colorful rugs add so much character and hominess to simple and clean designs. In its past, antique rugs seemed to have been constrained as living room décor but why stop there when you can add a splash of color in your bathroom and kitchen?
My mother is a bit of an interior design goddess so I've always grown up around beautiful things. She has a gorgeous, deep red rug in our living room that I would lie on as a kid. Thank goodness she tucked it away in storage rather than throwing it out when she moved into a more modern and minimalist style. You won't event believe how quickly I got my hands on it once I got my own home!

(Pan)Tone it Down
I’m not usually drawn to pastel colors as much but I couldn’t resist jumping on the Pantone colors of the year bandwagon. Part of the reason why I love this years color choice is that they were inspired by the trend of seeking mindfulness and wellbeing. I can get behind that! Anyway, I thought it would be fun to find ways to spruce up the home with just a bit of the Rose Quartz and Serenity, using them as accent colors. I thought that this would help to make them more accessible to a minimalist fiend like me.
